This is an informative 97 page soft-cover work with a decent overview of the Nike Missile System. It lists it's credits as the D.O.D. and the Dept. of the Interior. Nicely presented "then and now" (1996) photos of various bases including SL-40 as well as the oft-printed but still chilling photos of Hercules missiles on the Chicago lakeshore with the city skyline in the background. Many shots are stills from the movie, "The Nike Hercules Story" produced by Bell Labs. Several superb line drawings of the C-84 and SL-40 site plans. A worthy edition to any cold-war buff's library and especially to those even remotely interested in the history of the Nike Missile System.
