Teen girls are attacked and murdered during the hottest summer in memory, one right after another. Will Malin Fors, Linkoping Police Superintendent, and the rest of the force find the killer before more girls disappear? Mons Kallentoft, the hottie, does it again. Midwinter Blood, first in this series, was an amazing read. This sequel did not disappoint.

I can think of very few books where the characters are as developed as these. Kallentoft's style takes you into everyone's head. The pacing is breakneck and even the dialogue keeps up with it.

The mystery to me is why Kallentoft isn't smashing the bestsellers lists? Scandinavian mystery lovers need to put Summer Death at the top of their summer reading lists. I might need to learn Swedish so I can read the rest of the series that hasn't been translated yet.
