It's wonderful when you connect with characters from the start, making them feel like real people. People you could be friends with. Emilia writing draws you into their lives. Some stories are just words on a page, just something to pass time with. The Fifth Lesson flows, draws you in. It's an extremely fast read, filled with some unusual/funny situations. Like what brings Adam & Christie together.
This is the second in The Bad Boy series, so I was familiar with most of the characters. It's great how the book focuses on our main couple, but you get "check in's" on the supporting cast. This book is easily read as a standalone story with it's own conclusion. But I love that with a series you get the chance to for true character development, not just leads in the book.
