Darla Pettistone and her sleuthing cat Hamlet are back for their fourth adventure in Literally Murder. After Hamlet’s video of him imitating Darla performing martial arts goes viral, he’s invited to be the guest of honor at a championship cat show in sunny Ft. Lauderdale. Of course, things do not go smoothly animal rights activists are marching, and a cat show contestant protests when his new cat breed doesn’t win. Then, of course, Hamlet disappears only to be found next to a dead body!

The characters are as delightfully quirky as ever, particularly Darla’s sidekick Jake, and Hamlet is in rare sleuthing form. It seems as if it gets better with each successive volume, a tribute to Brandon’s writing skills. This series has everything one would want, thrills, chills, and a detective cat! Who could ask for more???
