The calendar of the collective farmer was an information and reference yearly magazine for agricultural workers of the USSR. There was a calendar of agricultural works written for each month, as well as many other useful tips for collective farmers and people engaged in farming and livestock farming, including the technical innovations and mechanisms used in these areas.

This magazine was the continuer of the annual book "The Collective Farmer's Calendar", which was issued from 1938 to 1944. Since 1961, the magazine has been renamed the "Rural Calendar", which was first produced by the Selkhozizdat Publishing House transformed from Selkhozgiz, and subsequently (since 1965) by the publishing houses Kolos and Agropromizdat.
