Very popular at the beginning of the century was the system of physical development of the Dane IP Muller. He himself was a wonderful versatile athlete, multiple champion and champion of Denmark in several sports. Having tried various systems of physical development, including a set of exercises with dumbbells of the athlete Eugenia Sandova, Muller still preferred exercises without burdens, of which the complex was published in 1904 under the title "My system" ("15 minutes of daily work for good health"). This book was translated into many languages, including Russian, and immediately gained immense popularity. Propagating the need for exercise, Mueller believed that there are no miraculous methods of treatment, magic or secret means that give a person health. The essence of the matter is not in some miraculous means, but in a healthy way of life.
"My system contributes to the fulfillment of three main tasks: stabilization of skin functions; strengthening of the lungs; normalization of the digestive process, "wrote Mueller. Muller believed that the "life force" is not concentrated in the muscles of the hands. In his opinion, it is much more important to have healthy internal organs than strong muscles. During the following years he published a series of works "My system for children", "My system for ladies", "My system for the army and navy", "My system" ("5 minutes a day").
