Better late than never--at least for the northern hemisphere. There's a clear discussion
about and directions for canning, preserves, pickling, salting and drying fruits and vegetables.
And, of course, recipes. Like many other canning-preserving books, meat is overlooked/ignored.
Those of us in hunting families still rely on oral traditions.
