Only is the second book in Ms. Dimon's Holton Woods series. I read the first two out of order, but didn't suffer from that action. The overlapping characters and storylines weren't confusing or spoiling. I am so impressed with Ms. Dimon's ability to craft such fully faceted and likeable characters. There are multiple layers to be uncovered, and the richness of the dialogue contributes to the atmosphere. The primary couple grabbed my emotions early on and they were able to keep my attention throughout this well plotted action/suspense/romance. The pacing was necessarily fast, the dialogue sharp, crisp and quite witty. The secondary characters are detailed and interesting. The suspense aspect is handled easily and is woven well. The passion factor is high but the balance remained throughout between action and passion. Ms. Dimon's love scenes actually move the story along. I look forward to a delicious series.
