I came across Collette West’s work a few months ago, and I’m so glad she finally released another romance set in the world of baseball. I’m a big fan of sports-themed romances, mainly because of the manly, muscular male leads. Jilly is everything I could wish for in that department, he’s big, burly, tattooed and sensitive. And he’s still in love with that special girl from high school.

I cared about both the main characters very much by the end of the book, since the author did a great job of portraying them as real, living people. When Jilly and Hailey get together on the page it’s pure chemistry and the author did a great job of conveying it in all the scenes they have together. The suspense as to how the romance will work out is high right up until the end and I kept turning the pages well into the night wanting to finally reach their HEA.

I recommend this book to all romance fans!
