Friends since childhood, Lady Brandice Townsend and Lord Quentin Steel naturally
turn to each other for comfort when Brandi's father and Quentin's parents are killed
in a coach accident. Even though Quentin has been away for four years in the navy,
Brandi and Quentin find that they are still as comfortable with each other, and
affectionate toward each other as they have always been. Perhaps more. But when it
is discovered that their parents were murdered, Brandi and Quentin must put their
new feelings for each other on hold until the murderer is revealed. Brandi was no

While trying to discover the truth behind their beloved parents' death, Brandi and
Quentin discover true depths of their feelings for each other, and come to know just
how precious and enduring their love is. But another is waiting in the wings to
destroy all they hold dear, and will stop at nothing to save himself from being
discovered.
