Yoga is the perfect tool for birth preparation as it strengthens the body, enhances flexibility and calms the mind. Inspired by the teachings
of Vanda Scaravelli, the yoga in this DVD emphasises the breath, gravity and spinal alignment, all of which are essential for a
comfortable pregnancy and positive labour.
There is a choice of three sessions of varying lengths suited to all stages of pregnancy beyond 14 weeks.
Nicole Croft is an Active Birth Centre associate and qualified yoga for pregnancy teacher. She runs popular yoga classes and workshops in Oxford.
Nicole is the founder of BuddhaBellies, dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to give birth more confidently and instinctively.
This DVD was filmed while she was six months pregnant with her third child.
Things to avoid:
- Any practice of yoga to 14 weeks.
- Items lying on his back after 34 weeks.
- Excessive tension in the pelvis. Poses with widely spread legs or sit-ups dysfunction or pubic symphysis diastasis.
- Any practice, if there is bleeding. In such a case, consult with your doctor or midwife.
- Sit-ups and tilts forward, if you have hemorrhoids or vulvovarikoz.
- Sit-ups with fetal presentation after 34 weeks.
- Anything that causes a feeling of tension or given through force.
