LaDainian Tomlinson, known as "LT," is one of the most exciting young players in professional football as the star running back of the San Diego Chargers. LT rose to his present position from relatively unknown Texas teams. Since joining the Chargers in 2001 as the starting running back, LT hasbecome a role model for his record-breaking athletic gifts.

In 2003, he became the first player in NFL history to rush for 1,000 yards and record 100 receptions in the same season. In 2005, he was only the seventh player in history to run, catch, and throw for a touchdown in the same game. In the 2006 season, LT scored a record-setting19 touchdowns in the span of6 games, and the next season was awarded the NFL APMost Valuable PlayerAward. In 2009, he continued to break records,becoming the fastest player to reach 150career touchdowns in the same game. Said to be "everything that's good aboutsports today," LT has wasted no time in catapulting himself to the top of the league and into the record books.
