All three levels of practice «Power Yoga with Barone Baptiste» addressed to those who are just starting or have recently started doing power yoga ( primary and secondary ) . Baron has positioned itself as the author adapted system power- yoga and Ashtanga yoga , which beginners can start regular classes and then "grow" before the full practice Ashtanga yoga sequences at different levels.
First level ( 45:31 ) is divided into three workouts :
- Heating : sun salutations;
- On the lower part of the body : standing asanas and balance ;
- Strengthening of the press while stretching the muscles of the lumbar .
Initially, these three workouts can be performed together or separately . Provides a complete set of instructions on how to perform the technique of asanas and breathing.
Full Traumatic asanas in these very reasonably drawn segments guaranteed if done correctly and follow the leadership of the leader. But first of unusual loads will still appear discomfort .
The second level ( 68:06 ) :
The longest of the three, there are detailed instructions on not only proper technique asanas and breathing , but also relaxation, reminded all the time that you can not avoid overexertion of body and mind . Some asanas are modified slightly and shifting its focus on traditional areas of rigidities and " weaknesses ." Removed or modified asanas that in the early stages of development of yoga have a strong impact on the joints. There are power asana asanas to disclose hips , balance poses, to stabilize and strengthen joints, the middle part of the body and breathing exercises .
Level 3 ( 44:00 )
This is a very stripped down version adapted and ashtanga yoga sequence of the first level , a bit of introduction to Ashtanga . Here the leading focuses on four basic principles of Ashtanga :
1) ujjayi Pranayama ;
2) bandha ( used here only uddiyana bandha and moola bandha );
3) Drishti - a steady gaze focused ;
4) Vinyasa - a continuous flow of asanas with ujjayi , bandhas and drishti .
The entire practice is accompanied by detailed instructions and reminders of " castles " ujjayi breath , focus of sight. Very bad practice and without traumatic asanas to perform which the body is not ready yet .
For beginners all his detailed instructions are very useful and it is very positive thing for self practice .
About Baron Baptiste : yoga , he began literally in the womb , as his parents , Walt and Magana Baptiste , opened one of the first yoga centers on the west coast of the U.S. , even before most people in the West learned what yoga is . Baron Baptiste child lived in India, ashrams , together with their parents , learning not only the physical practice, but also the philosophy of yoga.
