Though the programming of the .gig files is very extensive to maximize the Giga format, all layers are also separated out for easy loading into other platforms such as Kontakt and Halion.

Programming Concepts:
The Virtuoso Series Solo Flute is designed to be an extremely flexible multi-sample collection. The focus is on single, multi-sample notes rather than "riffs" or "phrases", though some popular rips (fast sweeping "flurries") are included.
Stereo, recorded at a distance of about 25 feet in a concert hall.
Most of the articulations are 6 velocity layers deep, and sometimes, as many as 8 at this time.
Many instruments use the Mod Wheel or Keyswitching to select between articulations so you can easily get very musical expression from one midi channel.
A useful file has been created where you can choose between the flute solo or the flute ensemble all on just ONE instrument for more effective and realistic divisi passages.
While there is a vast amount of programming with lots of use of dimensions, there are also separated layers as well. These separations include SINGLE dimensions with MANY velocity layers, or SINGLE dimensions with only ONE velocity layer. This way, you can load into other platforms such as Kontakt or Halion with ease. (Other platforms have difficulty loading in more than one dimension.)
With the "plug and play" programming in the numerous instruments and variations, the user is immediately able to get the "feel" right there at the keyboard with little or no "tweaking".

Abbreviations:
Esp - Espressivo. Use this articulation for sustained notes with a smooth attack.
Stc - Staccato.
Rip - Fast "flurries" that "glissando" to a target note
RipOct - Fast "glissando" to a target note from a full octave.
RipFast - Fast "glissando" to a target note from an interval of about a fourth.
Mw - Mod Wheel. Describes the use of the Mod Wheel in the instrument.
K = Keyswitched. Choose different dimensions or articulations by selecting C1 through D#1.
Dyn - Dynamic. Use this when you want to add harder attacks the harder you play, and softer attacks the softer you play.
WTr - Whole Step Trills.
HTr - Half Step Trills.
Ens - Section (2 players per note.)
"/" - Shows the different dimensions attenuated by the Mod Wheel.
"-" - Shows the different dimensions or velocity layers attenuated by velocity
