processed, and acted on by machines in meaningful
ways.

The Semantic Web relies on structured sets of
metadata and inference rules that allow it to
"understand" the relationship between different data
resources. The technologies that form the basis of
the Semantic Web by adding these metadata and
inference rules are RDF (Resource Description
Framework) and OWL (Web Ontology Language).
