Bit depth: 32bit, 64bit
Language: English
System requirements: MODO 701
Substances can be edited in MODO 701 which provides the possibility for an infinite number of texture variations. The source file is included, as well, for making deeper modifications from inside of Substance Designer.
The Substance file format is natively integrated within your favorite DCC application. You don't need any plug-in to enjoy it. Using substances in Modo is as simple as any other bitmap image format: import your substance file, connect it to your material, apply onto your mesh, and here you go!
Now the only, slight difference between a bitmap texture and a substance is that substances are multi-output and dynamic. Multi output means that from one file you get diffuse, normal, bump, height, specular, AO, etc. for free, obtaining way richer visual results...
Dynamic means that you can tweak the substance parameters to customize it to your needs: the integration of Substance within Modo is so deep that the substance dynamic parameters have been exposed. Tweak the parameters and you will see the changes in the viewport in real-time!
