B.W. Imrie, "Compressible Fluid Flow"
1973 | pages: 256 | ISBN: 0408704357 | PDF | 10 mb
The lecture notes and experience from which this book has been compiled, have been developed by teaching and examining final year degree courses in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Leeds University and by teaching introductory courses on compressible flow to postgraduates on the M.Sc. Course in Combustion and Explosion Studies.
The purpose of this book is to present the fundamentals of steady compressible fluid flow of a perfect gas in such a way that the student may appreciate the assumptions of theoretical analysis, the derivation and application of explicit parameter relationships and the use of tabulated data as solutions of such relationships. The presentation of Theory, Worked Examples and Tables is integrated to enable the student to consider the interaction of Theory and Tables in solving compressible flow problems which are taken mainly from university examination papers. In this respect it may be considered that the book will also help students to pass examinations in this subject.
