Helgoland ist Deutschlands einzige Hochsee-Insel und daher mit einem ganz speziellen Klima gesegnet. Schon die Anreise ist immer wieder ein besonderes Erlebnis. Wer Zeit hat benutzt das Schiff. Diese Schiffe können wegen ihres Tiefganges allerdings nicht direkt im Hafen anlanden. Sie bleiben auf der Außenrede und die Fahrgäste müssen in kleine Beiboote umsteigen. Nicht viel schneller ist die Anreise mit den modernen Katamaranen. Aber sie können direkt bis in den Hafen fahren und anlegen. Auch mit dem Flugzeug ist eine Anreise möglich. Ansonsten erfährt man in diesem kleinen Reiseführer alles Wichtige, was man auf der Insel unternehmen kann.

Helgoland with its very interesting history is the only Island in Germany with the special open sea climate.
