Escudo de Oro (2003), 49 colored pictures and map. El Torcal de Antequera Nature Reserve is the most important, most beautiful karstic phenomenon in Spain and unique in Europe.
German: Escudo de Oro (2003), 49 Farb-Abb, Karten. Der Torcal von Antequera ist eine geologische Kuriosität ersten Ranges und von europaweiter Bedeutung. Sein Markenzeichen sind die von der Erosion zu bizarren Figuren geformten Kalksteine, die Felstürme, Plattenschichten, Einsturzdolinen und Wackelsteine.

Formes was this natural wonder during the Jurassic Period when this entire zone, from the Gulf of Cadiz to the Levantine Coast, was occupied by a great arm of the sea. Marine fossils found in El Torcal are shown in the visitor centre as part of a permanent exhibition. This Guide introduces the nature park to you. You'll find a map to plan your arrival and a little plan of the park. But if you want to make an unguided tour this map is not enough. You can also book guided tours, some tours are closed if you are without guide because of their terrain difficulties.

Entstanden ist dieses Naturwunder im Jura, als diese ganze Gegend vom Golf von Cadiz bis zur Levantinischen Küste von einem Meer eingenommen wurde. Belegt wird dies durch die hier gefundenen Meeres-Fossilien, die im Besucherzentrum ausgestellt sind. Dieser Reiseführer stellt den Naturpark vor. Enthalten ist eine Übersichtskarte für die Anfahrt und ein kleiner Plan des Parks. Für Wanderungen auf ungeführten Touren ist diese Karte allerdings nicht ausreichend.
