This book is an older publication but still has some well done and buildable patterns. Woodworking books from this time probably don't have all the pizazz of some more recent publications but this is still a very good book on this style of furniture and it sells for a bargain price.
The book has plans for 16 pieces of furniture. A couple of them are southwest inspired pieces. There are some short sections inserted into the text with various general tips that are pretty helpful for someone just starting to build and finish country furniture. There are two or three plans for some shelves that are thrown in (and really don't belong) but the rest are really nice country pieces.
The book is well worth the current price.
