Vorgestellt werden in Wort und Bild auch die Tiere und Pflanzen, die diese Landschaft prägen. Zudem wird anhand mehrerer Schemazeichnungen die Arbeitsweise der Ebenen erklärt und der Verlauf des Kanals (mit Kilometerangaben) beschrieben.
