Overview of the new V4.4 functions
SIMOTION V4.4 provides new functions.
The most important new functions are:
SIMOTION inside TIA Portal (SCOUT TIA)
A host of rounded-off features in SCOUT V4.4 (e.g. sub-folders in the project navigator, control in LAD/FBD, "Go to" function in all editors, new mode selector switch)
Extension of trace functions (e.g. trace to memory card)
Extension of runtime functions (e.g. text files to memory card)
Extension of the handling functions (e.g. path control panel, rounded-off standard kinematics, customer-specific transformation interface)
Safety Integrated functional scope in accordance with SINAMICS V4.7
SIMOTION as shared I-Device
Extensions for Utilities & Applications (e.g. new version of the SIMOTION easyProject project generator; the project generator can now be called directly from SCOUT)
New user administration for SIMOTION IT (no default passwords, several security levels, ...)
SIMOTION inside TIA Portal (SCOUT TIA)
With the integration of the SIMOTION motion control system in the Totally Integrated Automation Portal, the comprehensive motion control functionality of SIMOTION, including its deep integration of the drive technology (Integrated Drive Systems, IDS), can now also be used in the TIA Portal.
In addition, the TIA Portal provides new, particularly efficient and user-friendly mechanisms for hardware and network configuring in one consistent fully-graphic editor, as well as the user-friendly connection to the HMI (including the new SIMATIC Comfort Panels and the Basic Panels of the second generation).
All the automation components are united in the TIA Portal project.
