This book is intended for use in one- or two-semester courses in electromagnetics. It also serves as a reference for engineers. Widely acclaimed both in the U.S. and abroad, this authoritative text bridges the gap between circuits and new electromagnetics material. Ulaby begins coverage with transmission lines, leading students from familiar concepts into more advanced topics and applications. A user-friendly approach, full-color figures and images, and a set of interactive simulations will help readers understand the concepts presented
Reader's review:
“ | This book was actually a pleasant surprise. Being a physics oriented student with very little interest in optimization problems etc. this book made learning the topic bearable. It's obvious that the book is aimed towards lower level undergrads, which is great in that every step is shown in clear detail, but make some of the sections a little longer than necessary. A good deal of effort is also made in explaining the theory behind the equations as well, which is nice. I must also mention the presentation of the book itself, which is very, very nice. It is surprising how much of a difference some color and nice diagrams make in keeping the reader's attention. Also a very streamlined, lightweight textbook. [...] | ” |
