Karsten Mueller's endgame course has already taken its place among the modern classics in the study of the endgame. While the first 4 DVD of the series were systematically organized according to the distribution of the material, Part 6 goes on to explain the general principles of the endgame started in Part 5. The principles discussed in this DVD are domination and prophylaxis, as not to be too hasty, zugzwang and schematic thinking.
Domination is the aim of the method, including the restriction. Gradually to keep the enemy on their toes and force to do the right moves - this is often a simple way to victory. Strategy for limiting individual figures shown with more emphasis on the preservation of a horse on a short leash. Prevention is a separate and very important way of thinking. Do you notice your opponent's ideas and plans at an early stage, so that you can retaliate in a timely manner. Principle not be too hasty to be respected not only during the endgame. Let Karsten Müller will show you the position that you have to take into account, in particular, how you should use them.
Zugzwang, on the other hand, is a typical phenomenon in the endgame. Important knowledge of techniques such as "Triangle" (triangulation) and the battle for extra pace, which are discussed in more detail. Schematic thinking is one of the few areas where people are still superior to the computer. But be careful! No amount of schematic thinking can never replace a specific calculation, and every rule has its exceptions. This DVD will help you learn what you need to watch out for.
