A peculiar bundle of rags washes up on the lakeshore of a small Canadian town. On wobbly legs it rises and awakens to a second life. Death by drowning has preserved some brain function and it slurs a few words. Zombie Mort instinctively heads home to reunite with his wife and kids. It doesn’t go well. Electromagnetic waves wake other dead who head for a trailer park for their first meal. Police chief Jane Dougherty investigates the town’s first homicides in a century. It doesn’t go well. Energy trickling through the ground hits a cautious cabal of vampires who quietly operate a local bar. They need the blood that zombies spill, but the town is locked down by the army. The Vamps create a blood bank in their cellar with their customers as donors. It doesn’t go well. School kids are taken hostage and zombs want to supersize for adults.
