In a world on the brink of a power struggle involving dark forces, there's no time to waste. Author Michelle Diener pens THE SILVER PEAR, which is the action-packed conclusion to the story that made its debut in The Golden Apple. Full of witches, wizards and all types of magic-wielding creatures, THE SILVER PEAR picks up where the other story ended. A war fought with magic is about to break out, which means Kayla has to quickly test out her newly developed skills as she and Rane make plans for an epic battle. They no longer have the golden apple to use as a tool since it fell into the hands of the enemy.

The author builds the story around a sorceress named Miri who has a silver pear that is equipped with magical qualities. She and Rane's brother, Soren, encounter numerous challenges at the hands of the enemy.

The story moves forward at a quick pace as the pieces for a final showdown fall into place. The romantic elements between the characters are well integrated into the story, which enables the main storyline to move forward with no interruption.

As with the first installment, this story gives the reader a nice taste of a fantasy world without any of the complexities.
