An emotional and sweet New Adult romance, Scratch was a wonderful read that I really liked. A story about facing the past and moving on, this book was romantic, full of secrets, and enjoyable all the way through. Casey was a likable heroine. Ever since her life was ripped apart when she was thirteen, she pushed people away and avoided facing her past. Her habit of locking herself away in self-imposed solitude was frustrating, but she got better as the book went on. She learned to let people in, allowing them to held her, and faced her past so that she could focus on the future. By the end of the book, I quite liked her character.

Daniel was an absolute sweetie. He obviously cared about Casey and he was determined to help her move on, even while she kept pushing him away. I wish we had gotten to know more about him as a character, but I still found him to be adorable.

The romance was very sweet. Despite Casey's reluctance, there was an immediate connection between them and they both proved that they were willing to put in their all to make it work. And, there was definitely chemistry between them, definitely enough to turn up the heat. I thought they were a lovely couple.

The plot was fast paced and I was hooked the entire way through. The secrets of Casey's past were intense and that definitely kept things interesting. I really enjoyed the story and the ending was wonderful.

Scratch was a lovely New Adult romance. Emotional, romantic, with some intense secrets, this book was an enjoyable read. Romance lovers, this is a book worth checking out.
