Pierce Braden is the oldest of the Trusty Braden clan. He’s always felt that he needed to be the one to care for his younger siblings when his father left when he was just six years old. Now in his adult life, he’s still likes to be in charge and take care of the people that he loves and even those that he may not even know. When he saw a women in a bar get manhandled by a man when passing he was going to step in and take charge like he always did but before he could, she took care of the situation herself by punching the man and talking him down. He was immediately intrigued by a women that could not only take care of herself but also one that seemed to not want anything to do with him or his money. He couldn’t’ stop thinking about her.

Rebecca Rivera had pretty much hit rock bottom. She’s now without a job and nowhere to live. She doesn’t trust easily and refuses to take handouts. When Pierce Braden tries to come to her rescue, she does what she does best these days, she pushes him away. Little does she know that it’s not the last that she will see of him.

I loved how strong Rebecca was and while she was misguided in her feelings of what she saw in others, she stuck to her guns about so many things. I also loved how patient Pierce was with her knowing that with as much as she had been through, she needed time to heal. This book was amazing and I can’t think of a single thing that I would change in it.

This was another great book in the long line of the Love in Bloom series that blossomed into the Braden series as well as other series. If you love to read hot contemporary romance series that lead into other books, then this is the series for you. Start at the beginning which is Sisters in Love and you will be reading great books for a long while because this is the 17th book in the series and I’m not even sure if that’s counting the Seaside Dreams spin off.
