Karen McKenzie’s company, Stacked in Your Favor, has a job organizing a move from Hazelton, VT to California. She is working with her neighbor and helper Meg Berman. A messy divorce and two moving locations have this mother of twin girls hopping. Blaine Collier and the two younger children will be moving to California. Sydney, the oldest child, will be staying with her mother Lila in her new condo. Karen is showing Meg the beautiful view from the master bedroom balcony when people started showing up. The ex-wife, a realtor with a restraining order, the owner and the police all show up. It is no wonder that Meg left her cell phone in the Collier’s kitchen. While returning to pick up the cell phone, Karen and Meg witness a person in a hoodie push another person off the bedroom balcony. Karen promised Lt Johnson not to meddle in his murder case. However, Karen can’t help herself when the person of interest is Sydney Collier. Karen had better be careful solving this murder or she could end up damaged during the move.

Things to ponder: Why was Lila at the Collier house when the family was out? Who was the person wearing the hoodie? Will Suzanne and Samantha ever get a dog of their own? Was the wrong person killed?

Once again, Ritter Ames has crafted a story that pulls the reader right in. This well-plotted cozy mystery is the second in the delightful Organized Mysteries series. I found that I could not put this book down... I had to find out whodunit. The author has included organizational tips to use when moving or just uncluttering your home. Cozy mystery readers will love these characters and like me will want to read more of their adventures. So if you like your mystery well organized, then you should be reading Organized for Homicide.
