Lauren Stewart "Darker Water (Once and Forever)"
Off the Hook Publishing | English | October 3, 2014 | ISBN: 0990334023 | 326 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,4 mb
This book started out perfect. The set up, the characters, the snappy dialogue... I loved it. Then, as the title suggests, things got much darker, murkier. It was a struggle for me for personal reasons, and while I think some of the fear and truth was carried a bit far, the truth about the issues was so very important and right on. The shame and blame, the guilt... That feeling of being the cause of all that has gone wrong was very realistically portrayed. Then I got to the love, which was also fearful and true. Love is rarely ever without darkness. Stewart wove a simple tale of people done wrong and truly turned it into a work of love. For anyone out there dealing with this issue, please be patient with your loved ones. They will change when they are ready and will need you to be there, however long it takes. Lane and Carson are very, very special and deserve their happy ever after.
