One day, her dad gets the call and is offered a pitching coach position for the Kansas City Royals. Together, they up and move from their home to start their new lives. Once in Kansas, on day one Annie has a run in with Jason Brody the new Rookie looking to make it in the Major Leagues as a starting pitcher. He has the whole package. Looks, charm and cockiness. Yep he will make you swoon!

Jason Brody is the new and upcoming thing in Major League baseball. He is nineteen, a high school dropout and a reformed bad boy. The Royals have decided to give him a chance and prove his worth in a trial run. Brody is also completely in awe of Annie and the fact that she is very off limits being the coach’s daughter and still in high school. The sparks fly with these two and young love develops.

You root for these two. They encourage each other to be better. Annie helps Brody study for his GED and Brody helps encourage Annie with her running. Brody also is Annie’s shoulder when her Mom comes sniffing back around. He respects Annie and really loves her. It’s absolutely romantic how these two fall for each other.

Their love is forbidden and beyond romantic. Julie did an amazing job building these two up and letting us be witness to their love. Her secondary characters are just as amazing and witty. This is one of those make your heart feel good stories that leaves you smiling when you finish it. We recommend that you pick this one up! You will not be disappointed.
