Bittersweet Symphony, the fourth installment of the Bittersweet series by JL Beck has not disappointed me at all. Don’t let the book’s description fool you. The story begins and ends with Kennedy’s point of view and I feel like her growth was more interesting most of all. Like most of Beck’s creations, she’s one amazing character. You get to see every one of Beck’s characters grow. Some have to overcome their pasts, learn from their mistakes, or learn to let go. That is where Ryder and Kennedy fall into place. Like most people, they have issues they would rather not deal with. Slowly they realize that they must deal with their pasts and each other head on. Each installment gives you something a little different. We get to meet Sam and despise him instantly. You always have someone to root for in Beck’s books and you will be rooting for Kennedy and Ryder until the bittersweet end!
