Congrats to Jessica Beck! She came up with a way to freshen up the story line, yet borrow a bit of an old favorite to do it. The plot is reminiscent of Ten Little Indians, and the reader is anxious to see how Beck will put her own stamp on this well-known tale and tweak it to her own characters and situation. Beck creatively constructs her own island for the suspects, along with Jake, Suzanne, and Grace. It turns out to be a uniquely ominous, scary time for all until the killer is finally caught.
Love how Jake is a prominent figure in the story. Loved seeing the development of different relationships. Waiting for the next installment with renewed interest!!
