cmiVFX is delighted to bring you the final Houdini Craft Rigging and Animation video for this series. One of most exciting effects in vehicle motion is drifting, and in this video we'll use particles to make vehicles drift just like in real life. Be ready to learn a lot about particles!

Intro
To say that this video’s project files are highly valuable would be an understatement. This is an application plugin for Houdini that lets you have real time control over vehicles in the viewport while recording. Software like this costs tens of thousands of dollars, now only under 60 bucks for you! How can you go wrong?
General Concept of Drifting Motion
We'll learn the basics of drifting and we'll see how it can be done using particles.
Building Skidding System
Using the Houdini CHOPS node we'll start to create the channel for skidding. With the particles network we'll build the skidding simulation, but we'll encounter some problems that need to be fixed and we'll learn the solutions.
Rest Velocity
To make the skidding happen just like real life, we'll need to learn about rest velocity in the skidding process. It will implemented in our Craft Tool with control parameters. An advanced level of particles manipulation is covered here.
Add Parameters Interface
We'll add the final touches on our skidding simulation and create all the required parameters.
