Professional program analog, digital and mixed simulation and analysis of electronic circuits devices of medium complexity.
Intuitive interface, low demands to the computing resources of a personal computer and a wide range of possibilities was the basis for the popularity of Micro-Cap among radio Amateurs, students and teachers of microelectronics. The algorithm involves creating an electrical circuit in the graphical editor, the task of the parameters of analysis and study of the data. The program is independently of the equation of the circuit and performs an instant calculation. Any change in the circuits or elements will automatically update the results. A graphic editor relies on libraries that can be replenished on the basis of experimental or reference data using the built-in Shape Editor module. All the values and parameters of the elements can be both constant and independent of temperature, time, frequency, state diagrams, parameters of other components. Animated parts (LEDs, relays, seven segment indicators and some other items) change the state in accordance with the signals input to them. The simulation includes a variety of analyses: transient, transfer characteristics DC, small-signal frequency characteristics, sensitivities DC, nonlinear distortion, Monte Carlo and many others. Advanced users can create their macromodel that facilitate simulation without loss of information. Allowed to simultaneously use different standards of circuit elements. Full support for SPICE models allows you to use projects from other programs (DesignLab, OrCAD, P-CAD). Among the shortcomings can only note the need for installation of additional elements, as the volume of libraries of Micro-Cap (even in the full version) is clearly insufficient
