Each episode begins with Berry and Fulcher walking down a white corridor.
After walking for some time, they choose a door which often leads into
a surreal situation.

Recurring sketches and themes during the programme include:
* Matt playing Rich in a sporting match, in which Matt attains excellent
scores and Rich performs very badly.
* Matt and Rich hanging a man, whilst making light hearted conversation,
often with a foul-mouthed priest played by Alan Ford.
* Music composers meeting a famous rock legend (including David Bowie and
Jimi Hendrix), usually with either Matt or Rich unaware of his identity and
treating the rock star rather disrespectfully.
* Matt chatting up an attractive woman, and upon finding out she has a boy-
friend, casually yet directly stating "Fuck you" and dropping what he's
helping her with (such as a tray of drinks), kicking a dog, or breaking
whatever the woman was holding.
* Matt and Rich violating rules displayed in the gentleman's club (No Flick
Knives, No Farting, No Jokes about the Queen) to the annoyance of the other
club members.
* Rich travelling back in time to 1888 and meeting Matt's great-great-uncle
Sir Charles Berry, who Berry has stated is intended to be Jack the Ripper,
who showers him with prostitutes. Sir Charles Berry seems to provide an odd,
usually magical solution for whatever Rich's problem be that episode.
* Matt entering a boutique for silver cowboy boots and ending up being beaten
up by a series of attendants.
* Mentions of eating rabbits
* Matt and Rich among a team of censorship officials, who review a series of
clips (which can be heard by the viewer but not seen). The clips consist of
sometimes outrageous content which the team watch in amusement (sex with
a pensioner, a machine-gun massacre), then an instance of cruelty to an animal
(such as swatting an insect or a character declaring she has a mink scarf)
which shocks the censorship team into stunned silence.
* Mentioning "Ricky from the office" (presumably Ricky Gervais from the comedy
series The Office)
* Matt being heard asking loudly for "whisky!", a habit apparently of his
series-father too.
* Rich often says how he is "a great kisser", even when regarding a snake
or his sister.
* Rich on occasion stating "I gotta piss"
* Matt and Rich referring to a situation which involves little effort to
overcome as "A piece of piss."
* A particular event in the past taking place in Holborn (which Rich
pronounces 'Hole-burn')

Each episode ends with a different rendition of the show's theme. Among the
different renditions, the theme is covered in the style of The Mamas & the
Papas and Phil Collins.
