A computer algebra system widely used in scientific, engineering, mathematical and computer fields. Initially, the system was developed by Steven Wolfram, later - the company Wolfram Research.
Main analytical possibilities:
-Â The solution of systems of polynomial and trigonometric equations and inequalities, and also the transcendental equations reducible to them;
-Â The solution of recurrent equations;
-Â Simplification of expressions;
-Â Finding limits;
-Â Integration and differentiation of functions;
-Â Finding finite and infinite sums and products;
-Â Solution of differential equations and partial differential equations;
-Â Fourier and Laplace transforms, and also Z-transformation;
-Â Transformation of a function into a Taylor series, operations with Taylor series: addition, multiplication, composition, obtaining an inverse function;
-Â Wavelet analysis.
The system also performs numerical calculations: it determines the values of functions (including special ones)) with arbitrary precision, performs polynomial interpolation of the function from an arbitrary number of arguments on a set of known values, calculates probabilities.
Numerical-numerical possibilities are the definition of a prime number by its ordinal number, the determination of the number of primes not exceeding a given number; Discrete Fourier transform; Decomposition of the number into prime factors, the presence of GCD and NOC.
The system also includes linear algebraic possibilities - working with matrices (addition, multiplication, finding the inverse matrix, multiplying by a vector, calculating the exponent, taking the determinant), finding eigenvalues â€â€and eigenvectors.
The system presents the results both in alphanumeric form and in the form of graphs. In particular, the construction of graphs of functions, including parametric curves and surfaces, is realized; The construction of geometric figures (broken lines, circles, rectangles and others); Construction and manipulation of graphs. In addition, the implementation of the sound reproduction, the graph of which is specified by an analytical function or a set of points.

The R & D Pipeline Continues: Launching Version 11.1
A Minor Release That's Not Minor
I'm pleased to announce the release today of Version 11.1 of the Wolfram Language (and Mathematica). As of now, Version 11.1 is what's running in the Wolfram Cloud-and desktop versions are available for immediate download for Mac, Windows and Linux.
What's new in Version 11.1? Well, actually a remarkable amount. Here's a summary
