FABRIC SOFTWARE announce the release of Fabric Engine 2.5. This release has two main additions: Kludge, a tool for wrapping C and C++ libraries, and a completely new version of Tab Search.
Fabric Engine is a digital content creation platform that enables anyone to build powerful tools and applications for VFX, Games, Virtual Reality and Visualization. It provides a visual programming system and scripting language on top of an execution engine that handles complex tasks like multithreading and GPU computing. Fabric enables artists and developers to rapidly develop custom tools and applications that boost productivity and integrate easily into existing production pipelines.
Fabric encapsulates tools and data, allowing both to be moved freely between popular applications like Autodesk Maya, Autodesk Softimage and now MODO, a complete 3D content creation solution for design exploration, game creation and media production. By adding Python support to it’s Canvas visual programming system, Fabric Software is further broadening its user base and appeal.
