What Is Wave Editor?
Wave Editor is THE audio editor for Mac OS X. Designed in Cocoa from
the ground up, Wave Editor proudly takes advantage of Core Audio,
Quartz, and other solid OS X features.

incorporating the standard audio editing features you're used to while
bringing yop-to-date with the latest advances in interface design,

Layered Audio
Wave Editor introduces the concept of "Layers" to audio editing
(patent pending). Layer portions of audio of any format, channel
count, sample rate and bit depth, Audio Units and fades on top of each
other, edit to your heart's content, then "flatten" your file to get a
result that would have taken much longer the old-fashioned way!
Industry Best Sample Rate Conversion
No need to reinvent the wheel here. Rather than spend a lot of time
and money developing our own sample rate conversion, time stretching
and wordlength reduction technologies and passing those costs on to
you, we decided to source the best DSP available - iZotope.
Wave Editor incorporates iZotope's industry best 64-bit SRC and
MBIT+ dither. We also have incorporated iZotope's SonicFit
time/pitch technology. This ensures that Wave Editor delivers the
highest fidelity and the best value on the market.
Get Smart
Wave Editor introduces "SmartEdits" and the "SmartEdit List." Slice
audio into sections, move them wherever you want (even between
documents), assign names, colors, fades (and more) and make them work
together for the most unique and flexible crossfades. If you're
familiar with Sound Designer II's playlists, take the next step with
the SmartEdit List.
You're Surrounded
Wave Editor was designed for the modern age. Built for broadcast and
Surround applications, Wave Editor is not just a stereo editor. It is
truly channel independent, truly multichannel. Some editors claim to
be multichannel, but require you to "split" or "unzip" the files
before you can edit them. With Wave Editor, you can edit multichannel
Surround files directly without this extra step.

audio processor, three advanced meters, full support for Audio Units,
Bezier curve-based fades, support for MP3, AAC, FLAC, Apple Lossless,
