In 1889, NP Alovert released as a "pilot number" another branch of his "Messenger of Fashion" two issues of the French magazine La modiste universal (edition de chateaux - modules). In a free translation: "Universal modistka (hat edition - models)", and announced a subscription to another version of the "messenger" - "Fashion Herald (for modists)", fully dedicated to women's headgear, accurately reproducing the French original in illustrations, but with Russian translation of the text. Apparently the ladies were interested! And although in those days in Russia in the highest world (and the magazine was meant for him naturally) all the French knew everything, the female part of the high society bohemia (or about it), having shown a certain patriotism, chose the Russified version of the French "La modiste universal" ... So To the light there was one more branch of the "Vestnik of Fashion" - with the subtitle "for the modists." This edition was entirely devoted to elegant women's hats - the magazine was illustrated with colored engravings with a detailed description of the presented model attached to each of them, this description included both a list of materials necessary for manufacturing and the very design of hats. An example of such a description (in modern spelling): << Current "Gazelle". This original hat is made of white krypton and is covered with gold galloon, which is housed in cages. In front there is an Alsatian bow from krypton and white lilac >>. Naturally, since this version of the "Fashion News" was dedicated only to women's hats and nothing more, it was radically different from its two colleagues in the common name ... "The fashion journal (for modists)" existed only 8 years, from 1889 to 1896, but this is quite a long time, given his narrowly focused specialization! The magazine was published only once a month and had 12 annual numbers. In 1896, the interest of the idle part of the female audience to the bonnets apparently fell sharply and NP Alovert decided to complete the publication of this branch of the "messenger," or to "merge" it with another of his fashion magazines, of which he had plenty ...
