This book is a new collection of Albanian etymologies, tracing the origin of thousands of modern Albanian. It contains detailed information on Indo-European vocabulary, preserved in Albanian, as well as numerous borrowings from the Ancient Greek, Latin, early Romance and Slavic languages.
Ancient elements of Albanian vocabulary are used for the reconstruction of their proto-Albanian origin, and then compared with their Indo-European parallels.
