Deussen Paul (born Jan. 7, 1845, Oberdreys, Neuwied-mind, July 6, 1919, Kiel) is a German philosopher; Professor (since 1889), a follower of Schopenhauer (under his editorship the Complete Works of Schopenhauer, in 14 vols., 1911 onwards) and the founder of the Schopenhauer Society (1912). Translator and commentator of Indian philosophy, whose ideas he combined with the philosophy of Schopenhauer, creating the so-called. metaphysical teaching.
