The Economist is an influential weekly English-language magazine. Published in England since 1843 year. In 2006, the circulation exceeded one million copies, more than half of which were sold in North America. Due to its global orientation, The Economist is not considered an exclusively English edition.
The main topics covered by the magazine are political events, international relations, financial, economic and business news, as well as science and culture.
The articles of the Economist usually bear a characteristically expressed point of view and therefore in most cases can not be considered neutral. The editorial staff of the newspaper generally adheres to the positions of classical liberalism.
