Another translation of the "Notes" by Xuan Zang (for details on the contents of the Notes, see the description for the edition of Samuel Beal) by Si-Yu-Ki [by S. Bilu] / Hsi-yu-shi [by T. Watters] performed by Thomas Watters, a prominent scholar of sinology. Watters spent several years studying and scrupulously researching "Notes" by Xuan Zang, which resulted in a translation in the Oriental Translation Fund series. Vol. XIV, published by the Royal Asian Society in London. The publication came out under the editorship of two prominent Orientalists, T.V. Rice-Davids and S.V. Bushel. For a long time, the published translation remained a bibliographic rarity and, on the initiative of the Royal Asian Society, an additional edition of the stereotypical edition of the book was published.
