Hypogeum Hal Safleni - the world's oldest fully preserved stone building, created approx. 4000-3200 gg., Is located on the territory of the modern city of Paola in Malta.
The monument is a three-story underground complex-a tomb with regular geometric outlines of rooms, a complex system of passageways and thoughtful acoustics.
Hypogeum surrounds a halo of mystery. In the rooms of the monument were found about 7000 skeletons of people and a lot of cult figures depicting full women in prehistoric skirts.
The official booklet of the organization "The Maltese Heritage" presents a historical study and a photoreport on a monument in the territory of which photography is strictly forbidden.
