ISD Software have launched their latest version of HiCAD & HELiOS 2018. This software solutions enable our customers to realise even the most complex projects throughout all areas of engineering.
What's new in HELiOS 2018:
The new version of our PDM/PLM system has been released – with a new module structure and many functional enhancements, most notably of the Office and Multi-CAD interfaces. For example, all file-based Office interfaces (for Excel, Word, PowerPoint) now share one common workspace, which provides you with a clear overview of the checked out files and allows a direct checking in or cancelling of edits.
In the field of multi-CAD, the deriving of complete assemblies has been optimized, the creating of complete projects and folders has been significantly facilitated and the linking of articles can now be carried out directly from the multi-CAD integration.
What's new in HiCAD 2018:
HiCAD 2018 comes with a multitude of new and enhanced functions. Just one example is the new automatic itemisation for all industries. The itemisation parameters are directly saved in the model drawing, part groups are freely configurable and industry-specific configurations can be defined and re-used as Favourites. The fixed part groups that were used for the old itemisation have been replaced with freely configurable part groups the elements of which can be assembled with the help of part filters.
Further new features are hole patterns according to DIN 24041, the new exploded view function, the thread representation with textures, the 3-D representation of sectional views, the product structure transfer from P+IDs, the further expanded Standard Part inventory for Plant Engineering, the enhanced functionality for dynamic pipeline route change, or the creation of sub-structures for Element Installation. Another important novelty is the possibility to create milling edge zones for Sheet Metal parts, which can now be selected besides bend zones. You can do so, for instance, when attaching flanges, processing corners, adjusting bend zones, creating sheets along sketches or applying mitre cuts.
