Altair FluxMotor 2018.1.0 | 1.3 Gb
The Altair product team is pleased to announce the availability of FluxMotor 2018.1.0, is part of Altair’s HyperWorks CAE Suite, which includes Flux the leading software for low frequency electromagnetic and thermal simulations. The software tool allows users to design and create machines from standard or customized parts, as well as to intuitively add windings and materials to run a selection of tests and compare machine capacity.
Below is the list of new major features implemented in Altair FluxMotorTM 2018.1:
- Coupling between Altair FluxMotorTM and Altair HyperStudyTM
- Power electronics stage feeding the machine
- Generator mode sine wave drive available with 3 new tests:
. Computation of a working point targeted with current, control angle and speed (I,, N) Computation of a working point defined by a 3-phase star-connected load (R, L) and speed N
. Performance mapping of the generator behavior in the "torque-speed" area with the MTPA command mode
- New area for exporting models from Altair FluxMotorTM to Flux 2D environment considering 3 available modes:
. One mode of export is static application without solving scenario
. Two modes of export are transient application with solving scenario:
.. Machine in open circuit state (back-emf,)
.. Working point defined by current, control angle and speed (I,, N)
- Computation of duty cycles in efficiency map available for motor and generator convention
- MTPA command mode available in motor convention for the test “Performance mapping – Sine wave - Motor efficiency map” and for computation of working points
Note: All these new features, the major corrected issues and bugs are listed in this document.
About Altair FluxMotor. FluxMotor is a flexible open software tool dedicated to the pre-design of electric rotating machines. It enables the user to build a machine from standard or customized parts, add windings and materials to run a selection of tests and compare results. Based on modern technology, the standalone platform offers fast and accurate computations. When necessary, connection with Flux finite element software enables more advanced studies, taking into account more complex phenomenon
About Altair. Altair is focused on the development and broad application of simulation technology to synthesize and optimize designs, processes and decisions for improved business performance. With more than 2,000 employees, Altair is headquartered in Troy, Michigan, USA and operates 69 offices throughout 24 countries. Altair serves more than 5,000 customers across broad industry segments.
