Inspiration Information Motivation
Once again our favorite sequencer has received an update which has given
the Live user a wealth of new features including new organizational tools
and resources. These new features allow the user to maximize the potential
and sonic possiblilities of Lives devices and raw sound, while at the same
time enriching the user's experience.
It is in that precept, that of further fulfilling the users experience,
that we have created this Modmachines Livepack. With this dynamic
collection of sounds and patches we aim to add to the users experience
and give him or her something exceptional and tightly integrated to an
already well implemented and intuitive environment. Sounds like a pretty
easy task. Well, actually we had to start a war to accomplish it.

Live Cips Dynamic Flexible Elastic
One way to look at Modmachines vs Breadbox is that it is an integrated
collection of Modules or Components which the Live user can mix and match
in an infinite number of ways. Again, the goal here is to maximize the
potential of given resources and provide a completely flexible and dynamic
collection of tools in which every component is 100% elastic.
Hmm...TrackTeam, What on Jupiter do you mean? Lets Start with one of the
Single Cycle Waveforms (Module I) drop it into a Simpler Machine (Module
II). Within this Simpler Module there are hundreds of parameters to morph
and modulate this simple waveform. Then, we use this device to create a
Live Clip (Module III) triggered by MIDI Phrases (Module IV) and then add
some effects (Modules V & VI). Each module or component has basically
endless possiblilities, combine them all together and you have virtually
infinite number of outcomes and combinations.
Getting back, Modmachines has over 550 Multi-Modular Live Clips to play
with.

New Features:

Instrument Racks
Modmachines contains over 100 new Instrument Racks in the form of 7 new
Modules as well as over 100 LiveClips to show them off. These Modules
have all been meticulously crafted using only Simpler and Impulse Instru-
ments as well as Lives built in effects. Click on a Module name to see

cHopbox Beat Slice Player
Add new Life to Simple Loops with this Custom Built Instrument. Chopbox
is loaded with Flexible controls for all of your Beat Mangling needs.

dPulse Drum Module
Live's Instrument Racks allow us to overcome the previous limitation of
8 Impulse slots per instrument. Each dPulse kit has 24-32 one shots set
up as Simplers or Impulse kits all conveniently mapped from C0-G2. We
have also supplied templates for your PadKontrol and TriggerFinger contro-
llers to get you started making Beats quickly and hassle free. These Kits
are Gritty, Loud, Proccessed, and In your Face.

fib 01 Hybrid Sequencer
A feature often requested by Live users. The Fib01 is our take on the
classic analog step sequencers of the past, with a twist of course -
Lives Racks enabled us to create some very inspiring synth and beat
grooves by allowing us to stack, layer and chain, something not possible
with the vintage machines. There are plenty of patterns inside to get you
started. The Full version of Modmachines ships with 250 seemlesly looped
waveforms instantly available from Lives Library. Get creative and and

Reflect Ambience Generator
This Device is Loaded with Ambient effect chains to give your sound the
space it calls for. Use the Chain knob to rapidly Morph through dozens
of Ambience chains consisting of Reverbs, Multiple Delays, Comb Filters,
Choruses, Phasers, Flangers and more.

Simpler Synthesis
This Simpler Collection is comprised of over 230 seamlesly looped single
and multi-cycled waveforms. We've taken these samples from sources
including Analog and Digital Synths, Samplers, Field Recordings, Accoustic
and Electric Instruments as well as from more unorthodox sources such as
looped Automobile Mufflers, Vinyl, Feedback, Static, Analog Tape Experi-
ments, Electric Saws, and other Power Tools. Most of these samples
underwent further processing and then "Seamlessly Looped" before ending
up as occilators in Simpler Modules. These samples are the fundamental
building blocks of over 450 unique and custom-built Simpler Machines. As
always, we've already pitched them to your MIDI keyboard, and are ready
to play. As you know, we've been at it for a while now and have figured
out how to exploit the Simpler Device to its fullest, so, the Machines
on offer here are some of our best yet and you' ll find yourself pondering
"Holy S@#t, My Simpler never sounded this good". The goal here was to
maximize resources and at the same time deliver a thorough collection of
choice sounds. Users of previous TrackTeam Collections will find many new
categories for their Simpler Machines including Bass Stringed, Voice/Choir,
Strings, Brass, Organ, Piano, Mallet, and Guitar. The Theme here is "Bread
and Butter" type sounds, but dont let that fool you, these are not just
your typical "Bread and Butter" sounds. We all know that a One Oscillator
Simpler is no match for a Multi-Parameter Modmachine. Hear for Yourself
what happens when the Modmachines get a hold of the Breadbox sounds and
add various amounts of modulation to the mix. Oh, we havent forgotten
your favorite classic TrackTeam categories either. You'll find tons of
Pad, Poly, Lead, Effect, Rhythmic and more appearing as Simpler Modules.
