Excalibur is not a complex tool once you get to know it, but its flexibility and potential diversity of uses makes an introduction a bit of a challenge. So let’s start with a simple description first and we’ll then take a second pass in which we focus on individual aspects in considerably more detail.

Excalibur has a multiplicity of FX, most of them conventional (delay, chorus, distortion, et. al.) but a few a bit on the exotic side. There are four identical voices in which these FX can be utilized. The routing is highly configurable. The input to a voice may be the global plug-in input, the output of any of the voices (from several different tap points within the voice), delay feedback and more.
