The Siemens PLM Software team is pleased to announce the availability of Syncrofit 15.1.1, is a family of specialized engineering products for designing and manufacturing complex assemblies and large aerostructures. It allows you to author and manage the assembly interfaces and hundreds of thousands of fasteners that are typical in an airframe.
Syncrofit 15.1 - What's new:
Key capabilities introduced in this release include the following:
Location Pattern Utility enhancements
- The utility user interface has been redesigned to increase the ease of use and incorporate changes allowing greater customizing control over the pattern. Using the Diameter as a driving force of the Pattern creation is now optional.
- The Utility can now be used to create Spot Weld Location Patterns (CATIA V5 only).
Tailored Blanks enhancement (automotive request)
- Detail Parts can now be defined by linking multiple skins with unique thicknesses and materials. Detail Parts can also be link to both skins and a solid.
- Thickness and material parameters can auto-populate based on name rules added to the Syncrofit Options window.
Curve-based Adhesive
- A new curve-based type of adhesive has been added to Adhesives
- Adhesive is created with selection of application surface and a coincident curve
- A new width parameter has been added to define a curve-based adhesive
Adhesive Representation
- Representations has been changed from solid to surface (CATIA V5 only)
Adhesive Detection
- New Syncrofit option to include adhesives in stackup when they are not assigned to same joint
CPGU support for Spot Welds (CATIA V5 only)
- It is now possible to create permanent point and vector geometry for Spot Weld Locations
Flexible Publish enhancements (CATIA V5 only)
- Flexible Publish API has been enhanced to update/refresh existing published data
Teamcenter Joining View Type
- Fastener and Weld objects published to Teamcenter will be of the Syncrofit view type, same as the ARM.

9259589 Make un-scoped parts un-selectable when using geometry selectUn-scoped parts in the Document Browser are no longer available in theselection list dialogs. They will not be selectable through the Geometry Select.However, a user can still select from un-scoped parts using the geometryselection tool.(i.e. When creating an adhesive, the user can still select the surface of an un-scoped part.)
InternalCorrection Retrieve CATIA Instance Path via PERLThe Syncrofit Perl API now includes a function on CATIA v5 that allows for theidentification of the exact CATIA v5 Specification Tree path for each detail partinstance in the assembly.This allows for customizations that require knowledge of each individualinstance location.

About Siemens Syncrofit. Until recently there was no way to effectively manage the development of complex airframe assemblies and large aerostructures. The Syncrofit portfolio of software for airframe assembly has changed all that by enabling aerospace companies to efficiently capture, validate, and communicate both the engineering definition and the manufacturing assembly states of an airframe — with a particular emphasis on fastened structures.
